Trinity Baptist Church - Founded in January 1974
The current day "Victory Baptist Church" actually began as "Trinity Baptist Church" in January of 1974, in the heart and home of Pastor Don Kelley in Bloomfield, IN. From that beginning, Trinity Baptist Church stood firmly on the King James Bible, the atoning blood of Christ, salvation by grace through faith, door to door soul winning, and Bible standards of holiness and godliness!
Exciting days of growth were ahead over the next few years! In the fall of 1974, the church purchased property on Highway 54, just east of Bloomfield. In early 1975, they began laying the block foundation for the current building; soon the building was completed and later a steeple was added!
The church purchased a bus a few years later and began picking up folks in town and bringing them to church! The heart of Victory Baptist Church has always been about reaching people with the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ!
Between 1976, when Founding Pastor Don Kelley moved on to another church, and 2009, Trinity/Victory Baptist Church went through many different pastors and a true roller-coaster of church history and ministries.

Victory Baptist Church - Re-Planted in August 2009
In August of 2009, God led our current pastor, Jerel Clanney, and his family to Victory, and since then God has rekindled the fires of church growth! We are consistently seeing lost souls saved, baptized and growing in the Lord! When Pastor Clanney arrived, there were just a couple of faithful senior saints keeping the church alive, and today the church averages around 60 on Sunday mornings!
Our church building has been renovated from the original 1970's decor to a fresh new auditorium, foyer, nursery, Sunday School classrooms, and basement bathroom facility. We desire everything at our church to be 1st class for the glory of God.
Our church ministers to our community in various ways (see our "Ministries" pages). All of our ministries center around these two themes; “Preaching the Gospel to Every Creature” and “Conforming to the Image of Jesus Christ.” It is our desire that everyone we meet accept Christ as Savior if they have not done so; this is the most important decision one can make. (Matthew 28:19-20) Secondly, we desire for Christians to then fall in love with Jesus and begin conforming to His expressed image. (Romans 8:29)
Victory Baptist Church exists today for the same purpose for which it was established back in 1974 -- reaching people with the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ and helping Christians grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ! Come visit us!
